History
HBR was established in 2001, between UK contractor, Blackwell and Dutch remediation specialist Heijmans, following a successful main/subcontractor relationship in the UK. The two companies realised that their combined strength could create a joint venture business providing innovative technologies, management, plant/equipment and the financial resources to undertake remediation works across the development, construction, industrial and public sectors, both here in the UK and Europe.

Heijmans Infra Techniek B.V. is the remediation operating company of
Heijmans
NV, a multi-billion euro turnover construction conglomerate. Like most Dutch remediation specialists, Heijmans, has been operating within the very onerous environmental industry since 1985 and gained experience in many different remediation technologies as a contractor, designer and as a service provider operating static plants. Contracts have been undertaken in
Holland,
Belgium,
Germany,
UK,
Spain and
Portugal.
In September 2010, Blackwell completed the buyout of Heijmans interests in Heijmans Blackwell Remediation, which is now renamed as HBR Limited, retaining full technical services capabilities.
